At AIM Supports, we believe relationships are the gold standard. Our mission is to provide compassionate, individualized care that empowers people to live full, independent lives. We focus on meaningful relationships, inclusion, and advocacy—ensuring each person we serve is seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are.
Brenda began her career as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), providing hands-on care with empathy, respect, and an unwavering commitment to the individuals she supported. Her passion for advocacy and person-centered care led her to a role as a Service Coordinator, where she gained critical insight into the systemic and day-to-day challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. In 2017, driven by a vision for something better, Brenda founded AIM Supports—a support agency rooted in trust, empowerment, and meaningful relationships. What began as a small network of group homes has grown into a respected, community-based organization serving individuals across Columbia County and beyond.
As Executive Director, Brenda is the heart of AIM. She is a mentor to her team, a trusted advocate for families, and a powerful voice for equity and inclusion. Brenda remains actively involved in both the strategic direction of the organization and the day-to-day experiences of the people AIM serves. Her leadership blends compassion with accountability, and her ability to support both people and programs continues to shape AIM’s culture and impact.
Brenda is also a proud mother and community leader. AIM is more than a professional endeavor—it is a legacy of care and advocacy, now shared with her daughter Alissa, AIM’s Associate Director. Together, they embody AIM’s mission: to meet people where they are, and to walk alongside them as they grow.
Alissa joined AIM in 2018 as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), where she quickly stood out as a passionate advocate for client rights, dignity, and meaningful care. From the beginning, she demonstrated a strong commitment to person-centered support—meeting clients and staff where they are, and leading with empathy, integrity, and determination.
Her drive and hands-on leadership led her to advance through multiple roles, including Lead DSP and Operations Manager. Along the way, Alissa gained deep operational knowledge of the developmental disabilities field and earned a reputation for her ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both clients and team members. She has played an essential role in training, mentoring, and supporting staff, often working directly in the field to ensure the highest quality of care.
Now as Associate Director, Alissa brings a combination of frontline experience, strategic thinking, and a grounded understanding of what quality support truly looks like. Her growth into leadership is a reflection of years of dedication, hard work, and a clear vision for what client-centered services should be. Every opportunity she has to connect with clients—she takes it.
Alissa continues to shape the future of AIM not only through her role but through her deep personal investment in its mission and values.
Meet everyone where they are.
It’s how we build trust, foster belonging, and create meaningful, person-centered support—every time, with every person.
